The plumbing vent pipes that poke through your roof are sealed by a "pipe flashing" — and failed pipe flashings are the #1 cause of roof leaks. The standard rubber boots used on most homes crack and dry-rot from the sun within a few years, so even newer roofs can leak here.
The Ultimate Pipe Flashing® (by Lifetime Tool) is the premium fix we recommend. It's made from pure silicone, which is virtually unaffected by UV, rain, snow, or ozone, so it won't dry-rot like a rubber boot. It uses a PVC compression collar for a weathertight seal and a large Kynar®-coated galvanized plate, handles a roof's natural thermal movement, works on flat to very steep roofs, and is guaranteed watertight for the life of your roof. It's a qualified FORTIFIED Roof™ component, made in the USA, and also comes in marine-grade stainless steel for coastal conditions.
Why it matters: vent-pipe leaks hide inside your walls and floors and often show up as stains on ceilings, walls, or even in the basement — and water damage usually isn't covered by insurance. We can install the Ultimate Pipe Flashing during your replacement so this common failure point is handled for good.
